The Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program Workshop Series presents "Lightning Man", loosely based on the life of Roy Sullivan who survived being struck by lightning seven times. The line between reality and fantasy blurs as lightning, represented by three women, challenges Roy as he fights against destiny."

The production teams, casts and crews of the two productions are all NYU students and recent alumni: Tisch departments represented include Dance, Graduate Acting, Graduate Design for Stage & Film,
Undergraduate Drama (Playwrights Horizons Theater School, Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, CAP21)as well as the Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program (whose students are serving as stage managers and music directors for the productions.) Students from Steinhardt music performance programs are also participating.
